It occurs when the vagina or cervix becomes infected with microbes and disturbs the flora of the area. Next, one of its symptoms is bleeding after sexual intercourse.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%CE%A4%CF%81%CE%B1%CF%87%CE%B7%CE%BB%CE%AF%CF%84%CE%B9%CE%B4%CE%B1\"><\/span><strong>Tracheitis<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>It is an inflammation and more specifically it is the presence of intense irritation in the cervix where the fine capillaries are easily injured by friction and bleed. If the blood you see is little in quantity and is bright red in colour, you are likely to have cervicitis.<\/p>\n<p>Also, you will not only see blood, but you will be in pain during intercourse and you may also have itching in the vagina. It is due to sexually transmitted germs or other types of irritation and infections.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%CE%99%CE%BD%CE%BF%CE%BC%CF%85%CF%8E%CE%BC%CE%B1%CF%84%CE%B1_%CE%BC%CE%AE%CF%84%CF%81%CE%B1%CF%82\"><\/span><strong>Uterine fibroids<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/drpolyzos.gr\/en\/inomyomata-mitras\/\">Uterine fibroids<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0are benign tumours growing in the uterus that in very rare cases hide malignancy. They may have no symptoms at all, which is why they are often discovered during a gynaecological examination.<\/p>\n<p>When they have symptoms, these include abdominal bloating, frequent urinary tract infections, pain during sexual intercourse and bleeding afterwards.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%CE%A3%CE%B5%CE%BE%CE%BF%CF%85%CE%B1%CE%BB%CE%B9%CE%BA%CF%8E%CF%82_%CE%BC%CE%B5%CF%84%CE%B1%CE%B4%CE%B9%CE%B4%CF%8C%CE%BC%CE%B5%CE%BD%CE%B1_%CE%BD%CE%BF%CF%83%CE%AE%CE%BC%CE%B1%CF%84%CE%B1\"><\/span><strong>Sexually transmitted diseases<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Their presence can cause inflammation, such as vaginitis, and therefore bleeding after sexual intercourse.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%CE%95%CE%BB%CE%B1%CF%86%CF%81%CE%BF%CE%AF_%CF%84%CF%81%CE%B1%CF%85%CE%BC%CE%B1%CF%84%CE%B9%CF%83%CE%BC%CE%BF%CE%AF\"><\/span><strong>Minor injuries<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When there is enough dryness in the vagina, minor injuries are caused during sexual intercourse, especially when it is very intense. This is due to friction that can cause minor abrasions to the genital tissues.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%CE%9A%CE%BF%CE%BB%CF%80%CE%B9%CE%BA%CE%AE_%CE%BE%CE%B7%CF%81%CF%8C%CF%84%CE%B7%CF%84%CE%B1\"><\/span><strong>Vaginal dryness<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>When the skin in the area is dry, it becomes vulnerable to opportunistic infections and local damage. Dryness can be caused because of vaginal atrophy when a woman enters menopause, which means that the vagina is not lubricated enough due to low estrogen levels.<\/p>\n<p>Also, a lesion in the ovaries or when they have been removed are causes of a decrease in estrogen, so the area is not lubricated.
